New assessment and injections

Hi
Just completed a new online assessment. I am hoping for a new appointment for a test and possibly injections in both wrists. I am a wheelchair user and it has been two years since I last came to your clinic and both hands going numb at night more often. Left wrist painful and tingling when bending.
Look fwd to hearing from you.
Many thanks

Time for an injection

Morning dr bland

I've been wearing a splint on my left hand for 3 weeks now but I'm still in so much pain with severe numbness, tingling and very aching. You asked me to try the splint for 4 weeks however I don't feel another week will improve it. I'd like to arrange for the injection to take place if that's ok?

Six weeks after the injections

Hi, thank you for the injections on the 21st of August. After I just left you I felt a big numbness in my left thumb and just above the wrist join. Then after few days the numbness I had all the time gone, my fingers began to be warm ( as it used to be generally always cold) :) I still have those sudden sharp stinging pains and especially it's paint full if I am, let's say picking apples, and need to use power in my fingers to get them of the twigs. It happens as well when I am cutting something hard or opening a jar.

Almost a year free of pain now returned with extreme pain

Hi, it's been almost a year from my last injection sadly the pain has arrived back. Is it possible to get another injection please. I must admit you don't realise how good you feel till the pain returns.
Kind Regards
Bill Burns

Carpal tunnel

Dear Dr Bland, I had a steroid injection in my right hand on Tue. 29th August, which gave me some relief. I can now open the hand, but the fingers are still numb and I cannot grip things or write without difficulty. You did say I would probably need surgery, so I think I need to go ahead with this as soon as possible please. k Many thanks. Gillian Hanlon

Six week review

I had a steroid injection on 21.08.17. In the first week, my fingers were quite numb I had pain in my wrist. It is now six weeks since my injection I only have numbness in the tips of my thumb, middle and third fingers which does not give me too much of a problem.

Symptoms return

Last Christmas I had steroid injections to both wrists with good results. In June I had a knee replacement which necessitated me using a walking stick. Unfortunately, as you predicted might happen, the symptoms returned in my right hand. The left hand is still fine. I am, to some extent, still dependent on the walking stick. I am wondering if it would be advisable to request an appointment to see you with regard to the next stage in treatment for the CTS or wait until I no longer need to use the walking stick before making an appointment.

Check up

Hi
I had steroid injections in both wrists on 27 July. At first they didn't seem to work. However, over time my hands are much better. I still get some pain so I am not out of the woods but they are a lot better. Is it worth coming for a check up to see what is going on with them as my right hand was a 4 at the time.
Thanks
