Symptoms remain after CT release in dominant arm

The first time I heard about CTS was after the birth of my son in 2007. It was just my wrist locking. I cant remember the other symptoms I had back then. Fast forward to 2015 during the second trimester I started having trouble sleeping due to tingling, numbness and pain in my wrist up my arm to the shoulder.

Strange post surgery symptoms

I wonder if you can give your opinion on a complete mystery. I had carpal tunnel surgery on right hand 11 weeks ago. The pre op symptoms were numbness and pain. Need for surgery confirm ed by nerve studies. The recovery was initially very good. Numbness cleared by four weeks. Function returned. Scar healed and not sore. At six week post op I started with some aching in finger joints of middle, ring and little finger. Then gradually early morning stiffness set in and some minor swelling of middle and ring finger ( makes flexion and extension of these fingers painful ).

worsening cts symptoms after surgery

Hi, i am currently 4 weeks post cts surgery. Before surgery i had 2 injections which didn't help at all. After having a few episodes of severe hand spasms whereby my hand would seize into a claw and remain so for a number of hours my gp decided that surgery was the best option. As well as the spasms i also had severe pain in all fingers and thumb as well as altered sensation in my hand and severe pain in wrist. Post surgery i am still experiencing pain in all fingers and wrist.

Question about numbness of fingers

I stumbled onto this wonderful site while looking for info on CTS. I'm a film editor and work at a computer at least 10 hours a day. I also have been playing guitar for 30 years and it's a big part of my life. I woke up the other morning with mild numbness in my thumb, index and middle finger. I have been experiencing minimal aching in the morning for more than 1 year. I can live with the aching but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the numbness will go away. The numbness is bad enough that it's stopping me from playing guitar which is very depressing.

Persistent / Worsening Symptoms after Carpal and Cubital Tunnel Surgery

Hi all, I'm just under 30 and had surgery a little over four weeks ago for carpal and cubital tunnel in my non-dominant hand, and am having persistent symptoms. I'm not sure what to think. Some background. I had off-and-on hand problems for years, but starting about 5 months ago I began to get persistent tingling in my finger tips in the median nerve area (thumb, first two, middle of third) and very rare tingling in the pinky. I only once woke up at night from the problem.

Progressive numbers in index and middle fingers 3 months after surgery

I had carpal tunnel release in march on my left hand (mild). My initial symptoms ere night time numbness which settled quickly after a successful operation and healing went well with no problems. I did have a very slight numbness on the inside edge of the tip of my index finger which persisted but it didn't worry me too much. However today the numbness seems to be spreading and I now have altered sensation in the top half of both my index and middle fingers. I have had a Busy weekend but don't feel I particularly overdid it.

Still symptoms after CTS and pronator terms surgeries

Hi, I'm turning to this forum for advice after trying everything else I could think of. I'm looking for advice about what I can do to ensure my diagnosis is correct, and if there are any other treatment options. I thought I would just list everything I've tried in anticipation of questions, but I am happy to elaborate on anything. Thanks for taking the time to wade through this post.

I started drawing and painting 7-8 hours a day in Dec 2015. After about three months, I started to notice symptoms.

Numbness after CTS surgery and original symptons are worse

It is about 2 weeks after CTS surgery on my right hand and have persistent numbness to the right side of the index finger and left side of the ring finger that was not present before surgery. Also the symptoms that were present before surgery pins and needles numbness of the same two fingers that would worsen with use of fingers and hand or position of the arm but were not persistent have actually gotten worse and now produce a noticeable pain in the palm of the hand.
