Small Fiber Neuropathy relating to CTS

I had both carpal releases done several years ago. Even though I never had conduction studies done before the operations, it probably was the correct thing to do as it stopped the extreme pins and needles/pain in both hands/elbows at night (this was severe as it felt someone was hitting my elbows on the funny bone whilst trapping my fingers in the door!!!). I was hoping for an end to the nerve issues, but unfortunately it did not stop my painful hands (which swell on using them and buzz similar to if you had hit your hands against the wall many times!).

Vitamin B6

Don't confide in what you are being told about B6 here (some people just don't believe in it, and would criticize the truth). Your operating doctor, and the faculty you've dealt with are experts in the field, and obviously know more about B6.. Here are a few controlled studies done proving the effectiveness of B6 https://www.researchgate.net/publication/242019249_Treatment_of_carpal_t... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3848223/

Short Carpal Tunnel Survey (for a project)

Hello, my name is Logan and I am a University student researching current carpal tunnel treatment for a project. If you could, please answer this short 6 question survey. The survey will take no more than 2 minutes of your time. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to post them in the comments. Thank you for your time :) Here is the link to the survey: https://goo.gl/forms/S8dTDESqBbWEFoFC3

surgery or watchful waiting?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated!!! A surgeon diagnosed me with bilateral CTS and R cubital tunnel syndrome. I've had mild CTS symptoms >4 years, however, my symptoms worsened several months ago for unknown reasons. A recent EMG from Jan. concludes that the right is now stage 3, while the left is not positive for CTS on the EMG; Though I do have atrophy bilaterally to the APB. I feel that the symptoms are worse during the day with work, and are minimal at night. The cramping feeling in the forearms and wrists are the most bothersome, besides the weakness in the hand.

Experience with the 'Carpel Tunnel Solution', 'Carpel RX' or alternative medicine for CTS

Was wondering if anyone had any experience/success with the 'Carpel Tunnel Solution', 'Carpel RX' or alternative medicines etc for CTS (lets try to keep this a positive thread, rather than bashing things you've had no personal experience with) ? Thanks.

Confusing diagnosis, symptoms improving

I wanted to start by saying this is a great site/outlet for me (and I think anyone with CTS). I went to the specialist 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with CTS based on nerve conduction tests being moderate in RH. They gave me a shot of cortisone at the same time (using the ultrasound for needle placement), this gave me pain relief for about 1 week only. My symptoms are in both hands, but the left is mild, compared to the right, again, being moderate.

Kenalog injection side effect

Hi
Had kenalog injection in both wrists just over a month ago. Since then I have had a period which is ongoing and has lasted over two weeks. Could this be a side effect?

Carpal RX

I was given a nerve conduction test and was diagnosed with CTS a couple of years ago, my symptoms seem to come and go but recently have gotten worse so I am now considering surgery. In an attempt to avoid surgery, I have been researching other possible treatments. The two most promising seem to be the Carpal RX and the Carpal Tunnel Solution. Has anyone had experience with either of these, good or bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CTS in paraplegic

I am a 66 year old male and a T5 paraplegic for the past 41 years. I have been diagnosed with CTS in both hands. Both Nerve Conduction test and EMG confirmed this diagnosis - moderate in my left hand (which bothers me the most) and severe in the right/dominant hand (which bothers me very seldom). After researching the data, it is not surprising as I use a manual wheelchair for all of my mobility on a daily basis. I am single and live independently.

Does it hurt to have stitches removed post-op?

Just wondering how painful the stitches removal is going to be
