CTS LAST GRADE
People, sorry for my speaking, not so good, but I need your help. My mum has cts from mny years and after many years strong pain, thumbness and weakness she went to doctors. They didn't find something dangerous. One friend of mum's husband said that she has to go to neurologist, she went and he said we have to make electro miography. They made and he said that she has last grade cyst and if she won't make surgeries immediately she will lose her hands forever and she won't be able even to move her hands with one word she will lose her hands.
carpal tunnel injection
I have recently been diagnosed with CTS, It started about 4 mths ago. I kept getting severe pins and needles in my left hand, lost sensation in fingers and thumb, constant shaking of hand, shooting pains from palm to elbow., and pains in triceps muscle and lost all strength in hand could not hold anything. I was given a wrist splint to wear and waited for appointment to see consultant. I was given Nerve conduction test, which confirmed CTS in both hands.
Stabbing pain worse after CTR op
Again thank you for such a complete and well laid out CTS Website. I had been in touch about my CTS but had not posted on the forum before. I have suffered from CTS for over a year in my right hand (I am left handed). Ultrasound scan revealed a bifid nerve with a persistent median artery and I had a steroid injection on 25 April before having carpal tunnel release op on 11 July as advised by rheumatologist and traumatologist / hand surgeon. After the anesthetic wore off, pain and slight numbness I have been experiencing over the last few months came back.
Musicians and Carpal Tunnel Surgery
Hello Dr. Bland, GREAT Site !!!
New symptoms after CTS
Dr. Bland, Thank you for providing this resource! This is an amazing community for CTS info.
I had CTS on 7/8/2016 ( yesterday ) to relief nighttime numbness on my pointer and middle finger. Immediately after surgery my ring finger, inside of pinky finger, and side of middle finger adjacent to ring finger were extremely numb and tingly, pins and needles to the touch.
Was told by surgeon that nerve block caused this and would subside within 24hrs.
All tingling and numbness from nerve block has resolved except those fingers I described above.

Puzzling Symptoms
Hi, I'm 13 years old and have been experiencing carpal tunnel like symptoms.
I play piano, and for awhile I have experienced tingling while playing some pieces. At the beginning of April, I began to experience severe pain in my right hand, which is dominant. A few days later, I got pain in my left wrist too. The pain is from my fingers to my elbow, and I have tingling/numbness in all of my fingers.
About a week after I experienced the pain, I went to a doctor. He diagnosed my with De Quervain's Tenosynovitis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I was told to rest, and get splints made.
Early CTS - Need solid advice
Hi everyone,
I have had wrist tendonitis for 18 months and continued working 24 hours a week on the advice of a physio which I now regret (extremely heavy computer use role in a call centre) but now have early CTS thanks to said advice. The treatments over this period included physio with dry needling, stretches and supplements. I have never had a chance to properly wrest and withdraw from PC's to heal as I go to university full time and part time role on PCs obviously. I now have cultivated early CTS symptoms which include
a) tingling in thumb, point and index 24/7
