Carpal tunnel topics
what does the score mean?
Just registered and completed the diagnostic questionnaire. Have a 58% likelihood of CTS but the ring finger on my right hand continues to point at me in denial of that percentage. But it agrees with St George's test result "no evidence of a carpal tunnel lesion". But it walks like a duck. Perhaps I am the first sufferer from Non-CTSCTS. What do I do next?

Hello
Haven't written on here for a while...Latest update on my hand....On the 6th Dec it will be exactly a year since i had the operation. (which by the way wish i had not had done now). Im now under another consultant for my hand, My fingers are getting stiffer, cant even form a fist that easily anymore, I have now got scar tissue were the surgery took place, i cant stand that part of my hand to be touched, loosing my grasp which is very frustrating sometimes as i am a kitchen assistant, its making my job very difficult at the moment.
Golfer with CTS symptoms
Hi there,
Swelling on back of both hands
Hello,
I have had problems with many joints for over a year now. I suspected CTS in my left hand and this was shown to be true and it is a grade 4. My right hand does not have CTS as I expected.
New to CTS, possible borderline diagnosis. Have some questions
Hello everyone. At the bottom of this post I have some questions mainly regarding : Are there conditions which can give a false positive/mask themselves as CTS on a nerve conduction study? But let me get into my history first a bit..

Carpal tunnel and 10 weeks pregnant, PLEASE help
Hi, my girlfriend is 37 Years and pregnant with our second child, our first was fully fit and healthy but caused mum to have severe 'carpal tunnel syndrome' rendering her unable to sleep for 7 months from huge burning sensations and extreme discomfort.
We tried splints and went on to having steroid injections which was a temporary solution, she is now 10 weeks in to pregnancy and is desperate to have the operation, my question is can the operation be carried out during pregnancy under a local anaesthetic whilst with no risk to the child. We are in Lincolnshire.
Failed decompression? Complex case
HISTORY:
I used to work as a masseuse doing deep tissue massage full time for many hours & 12 years. I experienced numbness in the median fingers quite often, which ceased when I stopped massaging & disappeared completely when I changed profession except for the left hand when holding the telephone - my fingers would go numb. My symptoms returned at night with tingling/numbness & I worse splints for approx 2 years. They became worse menopausally - last menstruation June 2013.
return of symtoms
Dear Dr Bland, I came to you in October 2014 and subsequently had a steriod injection on the 3rd of November at a clinic just outside Ashford. The results were fantastic and all pain from my hands disappeared. However about a month ago the symptoms started to reappear and over the last week have returned with avengance. I am unable to sleep at night and i have a shooting pain in the middle finger of my left hand when a stroking motion is made.
Appointment put back
Hi,
Was due to see consultant on the 22nd October but today have had letter to say they have had to cancel and am now booked for the 12th November
. Was hoping for what they might do to help me as pain is doing me in, sleep pattern not good and it's giving me problems at work. Have had both hands operated on and it did work, but since December last year it's been giving me problems. My gp has done injections in both hands. Will keep you updated Dr J Bland
