Persisting symptoms
Hello. I am two weeks post op for carpal tunnel surgery and 5 weeks post op for Colles fracture in my right wrist. I have had severe cts since i broke my wrist (on 5/30/15). The doctor pretty much ignored my symptoms until i finally convinced him.... he said me median nerve, when he operated, had red streaks on it. However, most symptoms remain. The shooting pains have decreased but i still have constant pins/needles and numbness in my thumb and fingers (middle and fourth mostly--index not as bad) and the site of incision still hurts because it was in the thumb cts area.
Reoccurrence of symptoms two years later
I had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand six years ago and my right had two years ago. Both were successful surgeries. During the past two months, I have noticed an intermittent tingling sensation in the right hand. Sometimes it would happen one day a week and sometimes not at all. During the past two days, the tingling, or more of an electric sensation has been constant. I have put a brace back on, but I am at a loss. I know that this was a "tight" carpal tunnel release according to the doctor. Does it return? Should I contact the doctor if the sensation does not go away.
Injection Update on Left and Right Hand
Have noticed that the injection in my Left hand is wearing off as pain is constant and my grip is poor. The injection in the right hand is working for the moment. Question is do I go back and see my GP about the left hand or shell I wait for a while. The plan was that I would go back in 3/6 months if the injection was not working. The left was injected in May and the Right in June. Pain is keeping me awake most of the night. Mark

Right Carpal Tunnel Injection
Today I have had my right carpal tunnel injection by my GP, we are hopeful that it works like the left one did in May.
My GP said that you may find that the left one might start to play up after a couple of months. So we have decided to wait and see what the outcome is on both hands. If symptoms come back he said he may re inject both hands. But he may refer me back to surgeon. Mark
Wellgate perfect wrist support - left wrist
I am trying to purchase the above, but Wellgate now only stock a support for right wrist. Is anyone able to provide me with a left wrist support which they no longer need? I would, of course, pay for this.
Diagnosis today
Dear Dr. Bland,
I hope you do not mind my contacting you via this site.
CTS Ultrasound measurements
Hi,
I have just did an ultrasound of my hand/wrist and the Median nerve area is 0.107 cm2. Could it be Carpal tunnel ? I was reading on websites that anything above 0.09 cm2 is highly predictable of CTS ...!!! I have to wait until next week to see my doctor, I was wondering if anybody had any clue.
Thanks a lot
Help Please
Hi I am going to my first visit to Canterbury on the 15th June for Nerve Conduction Studies for Suspected carpal tunnel syndrome and was just wondering what to suspect please also my doctor has not given me any splints to where will i get them there as i think they would help i bought just a wrist strap from boots but it just material with a Velcro strap so doesn't help much should i request ones from my GP or wait.
Left Carpal Tunnel Injection
Today my GP done a injection in my left wrist as I have been having symptoms again in both hands. On April 2013 I had surgery on my left hand and in August had my right hand done symptoms did go for a while and then came back. My symptoms at the moment pain and numbness also dropping things. Hope the injection works as don't really want to have surgery again... The consultant did say that if surgery was needed he would go further down the wrist and would be put to sleep this time. Does any know how many injections you can have and how far apart.
