about 5/6 years ago it started to give trouble with pain in neck , soulders arm and my middle finger going withe ,pins and needles and numm.
New self referral
Hi I've done the self referral online as advised by my gp. I filled out the questionnaire and emailed results then sent a separate email as requested with my contact details.tjis was on June 30th and I haven't heard anything. I did just resend it a few moments ago. My name is Samantha-Jane Flanagan. If somebody could let me know if I'll be given an appointment that would be great. I can't do Tuesdays or weekends. Thanks.
Need help with medical terminology
Hi, I have been struggling with CTS for about 2 years or so, I have numbness in my right hand and wake up in pain if I don't sleep in braces at night. I also have shooting pain when typing or paining or doing anything that involves fine motor movement, usually the pain is worse when I rest it. I am a barista, so I do a lot of reparative movement.
Need to book an Appointment for Electromyography
Dear Doc,
My GP has suggested that I might have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
I have been informed that a similar reference letter has been mailed to you as well from My GP (Sturry Surgery) to perform some tests on my nerves and muscles (electromyography).
Kindly let me know how to go ahead with this and also, assign a date for the test as well.
Thanks
Shristi Tandon
GP sent me here for CTS after A and E diagnose same.
I have been sent here for problems with my right wrist that are getting worse quite quickly.
It started about 8 weeks ago, maybe more of lesser symptoms, but has now moved to almost constant pain and aches around wrist, thumb, index and middle finger and base of hand. I get quite a lot of periods where numbness causes issues with waking me up as well as weird tingling feelings.
I struggle with normal daily things like getting dressed, opening bottles etc, and these things seem to be getting worse.
Pain Years After CTS
Several years after my CTS on my right hand which totally eliminated my numbness and tingling I have been dealing with pain that started happening sporadically in the top of my wrist and occasionally losing the strength to either grab or hold on to things. It has now progressed to an every day thing (going on 3 weeks now) with my pain level sky rocketing to a 10+ Most of the day. There is pain that radiates up to my shoulder when it gets really bad and my wrist aches like a tooth ache too.
CTR surgery 11 days ago
Hello,
Had mild carpal tunnel for 10 years considering surgery
Hello
I live in north west Kent hope that’s permitted :-)
I’m a 52 year old graphic artist who first started getting pins and needles in right hand (mouse hand)
Whilst living abroad. I blame poor desk and chair arrangement. Anyway came back to the uk
And it continued, spent lots of money on various things chairs, wrist supports, types of mouse, etc
Nothing really worked until I switch permanently to a pen tablet to work. That solved the issue.
Did get occasion flare ups and then I was having shoulder and neck pain. Had an EMG which showed mild carpal
Pain wakes me up
Been having pain in the wrist, thumb and fingers, its been waking me several times during the night. Have to shake my hand to ease the pain. My consultant has given me a splint to try and help. Any ideas would be very much apprieciated
Regards
Mark
