For Canterbury patients
Treatments
After excellent service at Canterbury on Monday and recieving steriod injections to both wrists, I was delighted as within 24 hours I noticed a improvement, the left hand now has no problem, the right hand being my main hand also has improved being 95% better, but I have found at certain times when at certain angles the iritation to thumb and forefinger comes back, the acid test will be on Saturday when I will go on my motorcycle. before it was causing a big problem with numbness and tingling.

Difficulty working
Hi
I had my last lot of injections with you last June/July, and the symptoms have returned. I am being woken up now by excruciating pains in my right hand, and have bought a TENS machine to try to alleviate the pain. I have also started having severe problems writing (not good, as I am a teacher) , and am starting to find it difficult to fasten my bra! My partner bought me a foam hand exercise ball for Xmas, but I can't even use that without incredible effort.

Dear Dr Bland On the 6th January you issued me with some carpal gloves. I`m sorry but they haven't worked. Please can you arrange an appointment for me to come and see you for further treatment. Kind Regards Mr K Warren
cts injection 11.2.14
Hi Dr Bland, I'm pleased to report that the injection given to me (by the lovely Emma) yesterday has already relieved my symptoms. I've had only the slightest ache in my wrist yesterday eve. Had the first decent nights sleep in about six weeks. Could use my hand almost as normal this morning i.e. was able to pick up coffee cup and open food packets no problems. I still get some tingling when I hold a cigarette (yes I know :) ). Thank you, thank you, thank you. X

Post Surgery Recovery
I am due to have the de-compression surgery on 15 March on my left hand. I appreciate I will not be able to drive for 2 - 4 weeks after this, however what is the normal time to expect to have off work? Will I be signed off by the doctor who performs the surgery. Would like to advise my manager so she can put cover in place. Thank you.
Swelling
Had surgery on left hand on 2oth December, still very painful and have noticed a lot of swelling in hand today, any ideas what it could be?
Regards
Vicky
Should i keep going with the splints
Hi Dr Bland, I have been wearing the splints at night for 4 months now ( most nights ) and have not had any significant problems with my hands/arms, should I still continue to wear the splints I cant remember how long you said to use them for.
