My CTS in my right hand is causing me severe pain and has been since Tuesday of last week and not sure what to do next, everything that I do is severely restricted and I am limited to how much I can do at any one time...
I have accommodated for this so I don't over do things and at night I take a low dosage Ibuprofen tablet so as to get a reasonable nights sleep....
Not sure what my next move should be and is worth having another steroid injection?
Kind Regards
Christine Griffin.

Hello Dr Bland
I first visited your clinic March 2013 and after a few visits we decided to refer me to Dr Jolyon Miles for steriod injection. I had one of these in July 2013. i recieved a follow up call to see how my hand was recovering I explianed that it seemed no different than before the injection, he continued to ask me a few questions and then decided I needed no further treatment. At that point I decided to leave it. This past week my right hand thumb seems to be continuosly feeling numb and tingling please could you advise me what I should do as it is quite uncomfortable.
RIGHT HAND CTS
Morning Dr Bland.
My left hand is perfect after the surgery in November :) A bit tender on the scar area, but absolutely no numbness or CTS pain! But, my right hand has become very numb and painful again .... may I please pop in for an injection? I'd love to canvas your thoughts on surgery on my right hand, perhaps after vineyard harvest time? (Late October). Kind regards, Lorna
steroid injection update

Neck and Shoulder pain
Hello, I'm due to have surgery on my left hand in a couple of weeks. The pain and numbness has got progressively worse very quickly. I wear a split at night however i still wake up with pain / tingling / burning. Last night was particularly bad and today my shoulder, elbow and neck ache. I also have pain and tingling in my thumb and hand which is quite unusual through the day. Is it normal to have this pain in neck, shoulder and elbow with CT? - Sarah
Pain and numbness
I have got really bad numbness in my little finger and the finger next to it on both hands, it's getting that bad that I keep dropping things and cannot grip things.
I have had both hands operated on for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Advice please
Vicky
Treatments
After excellent service at Canterbury on Monday and recieving steriod injections to both wrists, I was delighted as within 24 hours I noticed a improvement, the left hand now has no problem, the right hand being my main hand also has improved being 95% better, but I have found at certain times when at certain angles the iritation to thumb and forefinger comes back, the acid test will be on Saturday when I will go on my motorcycle. before it was causing a big problem with numbness and tingling.

Difficulty working
Hi
I had my last lot of injections with you last June/July, and the symptoms have returned. I am being woken up now by excruciating pains in my right hand, and have bought a TENS machine to try to alleviate the pain. I have also started having severe problems writing (not good, as I am a teacher) , and am starting to find it difficult to fasten my bra! My partner bought me a foam hand exercise ball for Xmas, but I can't even use that without incredible effort.
