Getting worse.

Dear Dr Bland,
I posted a message in November 2013 explaining how I think the Carpal tunnel has returned in my left hand. It is getting worse and also my right hand is worse which I had no treatment. I was wondering how long the waiting list for an appointment is only you said you weregoing to send me an appointment and I haven't heard anything yet.

SymptomsReturned

Hello Dr Bland,

I had the injection about a year ago for CTS and to start with, it cleared all symptoms. Since November last year the numbness & tingling has returned. I cant rememberif I am allowedf to get anotherinjection, or if I need to go back to my doctors & start the process all over again.

Both hands steroid treatment on 6th January - update

Almost immediately, the right hand was free of pain. The left hand was tingly/pins & needles for 3-4 days afterwards with occasional sharp stabbing pains. However, I have been able to get through the night without any of the the severe pain and now just have occasional, very slight pins & needles in the tips of my index fingers. Whether linked to the treatment or coincidence, I have on a few occasions, gone through a series of high temperature spasms but these appear to have passed now.

Re udate:- carpal tunnel

I am wearing my supports for as long as possible but on wednesday 15th after my appointment on tuesday i had a spasm in my left hand,it happened at work but i was able to relieve that eveningit just left my fingers stiff and slightly painful for work on thursday 16th jan. In both cases i have hat to have the next day off.

other hand getting worse

Dear Dr. Bland Don't know if you remember me. I am the lady that couldn't keep track of the eggs between the box and the pot but the dog enjoyed. I have an appointment for surgery on my left hand on the 8th Feb. and you told me to telephone for an appointment for the injection for my right hand. I haven't made that appointment because the right hand has really become very bad and I am wondering if its worth having that done or have surgery on the right hand.?

Surgery on left hand

Hello Dr Bland,

I had surgery for Carpal Tunnel on my left hand on the 30 November 2013. Since then, I am experiencing cramps in the hand as well as down the fingers, not all the time, but quite frequently. I was just wondering if this was normal? I had my right hand done in June, last year and I had no side affects from the surgery at all, healing up very well.

The scare tissue on my left hand and the thumb area, is also still very tender and I can't lean on the hand or at times undo certain screw tops, like the ones you have to squeeze and turn to release.

injection worked but symptoms have returned with a vengeance

Hi Dr Bland

I had injections last time I came to see you and your colleague but unfortunately I had to go to work that day and I think it was a mistake as my symptoms returned very quickly. I have pain in both wrists but my right hand is really bad and is making work quite difficult. I have pain in my wrist all the time now and my arm but gets really bad when working. I'm a builder so my work is physical and involves using my hands all the time for very heavy work. Please can I come and see you to discuss options.
Sorry I can't find one of your letters for the reference number.
