Hi
Probably not posting in right section but i had some injections after seeing you a few months ago (name Anne Weyns)
Both wrists are now flaring up again... i cant really go for an op at busy time but should i get more injections and how?
Thank you!

return of carpel tunnel

Dear Dr Bland, I had the injection in both of my hands in september2011 which lasted aproximately 6 months only to return with more severity. I had the second injections in both hands in march this year (2012)only to find it has returned again in both hands within the 6 months, waking me up several times a night. As I hold a full time verty demanding job (catering manager for over 1300)when we last met you spoke about operating if it returned again. Regards Linda Ward

Symptoms have returned

Dear Dr Bland Unfortunately I am experiencing a lot of pain in the middle finger of my right hand and general pins and needles and numbness in the whole hand. I think that I would really like to have this hand operated on as soon as possible as the sleepless nights I am having are affecting my ability to care to the best level I can for my wife. Please can you arrange this for me. My left hand is still ok. Thank you Ronald Murray

symptoms worse

I attended your clinic about a year ago - I see that I completed the online questionnaire on 18/9. After nerve conduction studies on hands and foot and ultrasound scans, which led you to conclude that I had unusually sluggish nerve conduction in all limbs and suffered with CTS, I left with wrist splints and the instruction to get in touch again if the symptoms persisted. I continue to wear the splints at night, every night, and have not been woken by wrist or arm pain.

splints

Hi im getting woken early morning every day with a lot of pain, i have a few weeks until an injection and 4 months until an op would it help if i could get hold of a splint, ive not been offered this or anything else by my gp, thanks michelle.

Repeat of tests?

Hello Dr Bland

I have had two lots of cortisone injections since you diagnosed CTS in both of my hands last year (injections in both hands in November 2011, then another one in the right hand only at the end of April as the symptoms returned.

The symptoms have now returned in my right hand again, and when I called to try and arrange another cortisone injection, they told me I needed to have another round of tests as it has been more than six months since my last lot of tests, which I thought was a little odd as I had the second injection well after six months!

Recurring pain after injection

Dear Dr Bland,

I had an injection in my right wrist as part of my carpal tunnel treatment on 26th July 2012. I had some pain in the wrist last week and it has become much worse since then. I have difficulty doing anything with my right hand at the moment (including typing this message!) and I am worried as to why this pain has come about again so quickly.

questionnaire

I have completed my pre appointment questionnaire (appt 13/09/12) but feel I have underestimated my symptons on some things, can i go back in and change it after I have completed and submitted it the form.
