Results Of My Steriod Injection

Sorry for the late reply. I have completed the questionnaire again as requested but not sure if it went through to you or not? My symptoms are still present in the left hand but not nearly as bad as before. This now means the symptoms are worse in my right hand. I'm still woken at night with numbness and pins and needles in either hand (mainly the right).

Ref reoccurrence of CPT, Our discussion today 21/06/12

Hello Doctor Bland,

I am waiting for a phone call back tomorrow with options for the injection. However, the lady who took my call felt that I would not be looking at anything sooner than 3-4 weeks depending obviously on my area. (Ashford)
Thank you for your time today. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Kind regards
Barbara

return of symptoms

I had a steroid injection for my right hand, on the 1st March, just before I came to France, which was a great success. However the symptoms have been coming back over the last 2 weeks and are getting worse by the day. The injection only seems to have lasted 3 months and although I would be very happy to have another injection, I'm also thinking that an injection every three months is not a very practical long term solution.

Welcome side effects

I was due for nerve conduction tests on Mon 18th June, but had to postpone them as I was having facet joint injections for back pain on that day. Today is Tues 19th June, and I have woken up with very much reduced symptoms of CTS. I expect they will exacerbate again, but at least I know that steroids will work.

Progress Report

Hello Dr Bland
The splints do not seem to have made much difference so I am proceeding with the injections. These are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. I will keep you updated with progress.
Many thanks.
Veronica

Comments on pain and request

Hi Dr Bland

R.E carpal tunnel left hand

I had my right hand done four months ago . i am still waiting for call back to have left hand done.
Which has deteriorated somewhat during the ensuing months and am finding it difficult to do basic things now .
I understood that I would be called back within three months to have it done.

Thank you for your time

Appointment for Dr Bland

Dear Dr Bland,

Further to your note of the 06/06/2012 there seems to be some problems regarding contacting me. After my last note dated May 2012 where I stated I would be seeing the Doctor in Faversham on the 07/06/2012 regarding a follow up on the injection. This I did. He advised that I contact you as soon as possible. This I did on the 08/06/2012 via your office.

Return of symptoms

I had a steriod injection in December, in both wrists. My left cts responded well, no further discomfort. However, the symptoms have returned in my right hand, numbness at night, and pain and discomfort during the day. Oddly the pain appears to be located in the area where the injection was administered. Is that normal?
Dispite the injection being extremely painful, is there any possibility of another one? I really don't want to have surgery!

Upper arm and shoulder pain.

Good morning Dr Bland,
Since seeing you in your clinic, I have had 1 steroid injection in my right wrist. The results for my hand and wrist were very good. However I now have pain in my upper arm and shoulder which is waking me up at night, it is also present during the day, do you think this is related to CTS. I also have regained some numbness in my right hand and fingers.
Thanks for your time Jacqui
