Injection

Hello Dr Bland
I came in to Canterbury last Thursday for the injection in my right hand. I'm pleased to report that I've not had any symptoms in that hand since a couple of nights after the injections. Fingers-crossed that it'll be a while before it relapses.

return of CTS

Hi Dr Bland

I had the injections on the 16th of February 2012 and have not had any numbness or pain in either hand. Two weeks ago my right hand started getting numb again and the pains have returned. It is possible to have a second injection? Please. Kind regards, Lorna

Re-Surgery

Hello Dr Bland,

I have decided that I would like to go a head with the surgery, as we discussed when I saw you on Thursday 3rd May.

Please let me know when.

Thank you Pauline Chapman

Three months since the second injection:

Hello Dr Bland,

It's quite some time since I've updated you on my progress, so I thought that this three months' period would be appropriate. My reaction to the second injection has been, on the whole, much better than that of the first injection. However, at this three months' period, I am starting to experience some mild symptoms returning: occasional numbness (mainly in the thumb) whilst sleeping or especially, when cycling. Nevertheless, the symptoms are tolerable and that is why I haven't contacted you for a while.

After injection

Had the injection 30/04/12 in Folkestone. I am in quite alot of pain in my left hand, numb and tingling even after 5 days, have been off work since injections. Finding it hard to do anything! Constantly in pain and uncomfortable. How long after injection should I be feeling like this?

Scan

I haven't heard about the scan for my neck yet and as you said it is urgent, am concerned. Is there anything I should do?

Thanks again.

Adrian

Painful reaction to injection

Hi When I had my injections I had a reaction that apparently never happens I got like electric shocks up my thumb and index finger the other 3 weren't affected. I'm still getting these shooting pains and don't know if i need to go back to Dr Bland or the dr who did the injections. I was told to post question on here. Many thanks Zara

left hand down a bit

Dear Dr Bland

Left hand showing return of symptoms ie tingling in the day and waking me up at night. Right hand is fine still since injections last summer - 22nd August. Please advise.

All the best

Andrew

worsening symptoms

Thank you - I have just received my appointment date for 15 May for further tests following return of symptoms after injections in August. My symptoms seem to be getting worse quite quickly and this is worrying me and getting me down. I know the appointment is only a couple of weeks away but if there are any earlier cancellations perhaps you could let me know? Many thanks Lindsay

Follow up to Friday tests

Thanks for seeing me today, with Prof Mills. I look forward to hearing about the scan - my neck was quite painful after the tests. Will the results of the tests be available to the neurologist to whom I will be referred? I don't want to go through a third set of these tests if it is avoidable as I hope you will appreciate!

I am convinced there is some wasting in my right leg.

Regards

Adrian
