Failed injection

Dear Mr Bland,
I have now had 2 injections and they have both only lasted 3/4 months. Really need to sort out what will be the next step please.
Many thanks,
Maxine Hillier

Re; Hand splints

The splint you provided does seem to have made quite a difference and I would like for you to send the left hand one if possible.
Many thanks

Injections

Had injections in both hands a month ago left is still ok but right seems to be worse than ever

return of symptoms

Hello Dr Bland

I had the injections in December (2nd time in the left and 3rd time in the right side). Unfortunately over the last 2-3 weeks the symptoms have started to return - most notably in my righthand.

Can I book an appointment to discuss further treatment please?

Good result with splints

Just to let you know that I used the splints for 3-4 weeks, and now, a month later, I remain pain-free, so I am very pleased. Thank you so much.

Thursday appointment

Please can my mother attend canterbury Hospital this Thursday for the injection. The earliest other appointment is Wednesday next week. She is in considerable pain.

Steroid injection

Dr Bland
Re: Steroid injection given by Dr Wyeth at Faversham on 9 February 2012.

I conducted a telephone 'follow up' with Dr Wyeth on 15th. March and was delighted to report a very successful outcome following the steroid treatment.

Right hand and wrist pain and 'pins & needles' are significantly reduced; and I also have improved movement there.
Only slight 'pins & needles' sensations after some garden pruning or when carrying a reasonably heavy package.

Progress Update

Dear Dr.Bland, here is a progress report, firstly i did have benefit from the injections, and now only have very slight numbness in the pad of my middle finger of my left hand. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritus, and am now receiving treatment, from which i am benefiting, and i have noticed an improvement. Many Thanks Carol Andrews

After Injection

Hello Dr Bland

I had the injection last Friday 9th of March, I thought you might like to know that as yet the symptoms have if anything got worse, I am waking more at night, even with my splints. I have redone the questionaire and it does show as being a bit worse!
I now have very similar pains in my right arm as i get on the left, I couldn't even pull the lid off of a pen today.
This leaves me wondering if I should look at having the operation, I know it is only a week from the injection but my sleep is getting less and less and the pains seem to be getting worse.
