Dr Bland Thanks for email. I would like to attend today (15th March at 12 noon) and hope that this message reaches you. Susan Longley

appointment for intinjection

Goodmorning,

I've just received a phone calling for taking appointment for my injection.
It would be at the end of April in Canterbury, or if earlier outside the city (20 min away by train) at the end of march.
Wonder if it would be possible in Canterbury or I have to travel to get it done?

thanks and regards
Valentina

Auds injection update

Dear Doctor Bland,
Auds had her second injection on Monday 5th March with Dr Miles but the early signs of any improvemant were were not encouraging. As of today, Friday 9th March, the symptons of numbness and tingling are back as they were.
Audrey has requested me to ask you about having the operation. Could you please be so kind to make the arrangements for this. We await your guidance. Thanks for your help. Auds

surgery booking

I have had a letter today regarding my next surgery. The operation is booked for 21 April 2012 at 10.20 and the pre operative visit is for the week before , unfortunately I will be away that weekend of the 14th so is there any possibility of having the pre op on a different date? I appologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Carol Jones

Splinting

I have used the splint for jusy over 4 weeks. I find my wrist a lot better at night and less painful still during the day. Should I use it for a bit longer?

Second op

Hello there, I had my right wrist operated on in November last year at Whitstable with a good result. How do I get an appointment for my left hand? Do I have to be re-referred and go through the tests again or can I go straight for the op?

Pain and numbness after CTR op

Hi Dr Bland, I had my operation last Wednesday I am experiencing aching and pain in my hand with a burning sensation around the wound area, my hand still appears to be a bit swollen and my middle finger is feeling that horrible numbness the same as before the op, however, I have managed to get more sleep since the op. Is this part of the healing process as I can't remember how the other hand felt although it wasn't as bad as this one? Many Thanks Sarah

Post injection report back

Hi Dr Bland.
The injection worked overnight! No pain at all. I do hope it lasts forever! Thank you.

HRT

I have my testing to be done in a couple of weeks. I've done the questionnaire but thought that maybe it could have asked about hormones. I had a total hysterectomy in 2002 and CT symptoms started a couple of months later. As my mother had breast cancer many years ago I chose not to have HRT. I tried all the natural routes but my joints became worse as well as the carpal tunnel. I was tested at grade 1 and when tested again, it was negative. My osteopath first thought it was CTS and linked it to the enforced menopause.
