Post Op
I had my operation on my left hand by Dr J Rine at Herne Bay on 25/02/2017. Whilst the injections for the op were a little uncomfortable, I would say it was well worth the uncomfortable feelings, albeit I think I had made myself think the worse, I cannot believe the progress that has already been made. On Saturday afternoon, the numbness and tingling had already left my fingers and on Saturday evening I had feeling back in my hand. I am not still able to grip that well, however, I can already feel a vast improvement in my hand. I can make a fist and touch each of my fingers with my thumb.
Book up for 2 ops
Hi Dr Bland
After recent consultation with you, i've decided to take your advice and book the 2 ops.
Left hand - 29th April
Right hand - 22th July
I've already discussed with Husband and employer and these dates work for us as I can get help during these periods
Best regards
Amanda
Already showing improvements with splints
Two sleeps in with the new splints, and woke up from both without pain, numbness or tingling.
So pleased. :)
Plus they're not too uncomfortable, and I slept well, so getting used to them will be easy.
Thanks
Bettina

i had cts surgery on 7th january at herne bay. My scar took 4 weeks to heal. The scar is still very sore and the area around it very painful.i get very sharp pain around my wrist and i cannot do much with my hand at all. If I do use my hand the pain is worse. The pins and needles are better but have been replaced by pain. It is so bad at night that i started using the splint again but not sure if that is a good idea or not. I dont know what to do - I am hoping things will improve and I can get back to my gardening voluntary work.
Repeat Injections
Hi, my last injections were amazing and have lasted well, I appreciate this isn't always the case but could I make an appointment for some more please as over the last few months my carpel is back and I'm suffering.
Kind Regards

My symptoms have returned can I have another injection?
Hello, I have been symptom free now in my right hand since the injection last March, it's been amazing! However I have had return of symptoms and am back to wearing a splint at night and some days, not as severe as before but never the less still painful. What happens? Can I have another injection or do I need a consultation? I am on holiday at the moment back in U.K. 6th March, any advice would be appreciated, thanks
Advice Please
Dear Dr Bland
I came to see you in April 2016 with mild tingling in both hands, the right hand being worse. As the months have gone on I now find that most days my right hand is uncomfortable with numbness most of the time. Occasionally it wakes me up in the night.
I have filled in another severity test and was wondering if I should come and see you again.
I await your reply,
Many thanks Pauline
Update
As requested this is an update following the injections I received in both wrists on the 26th January. I immediately felt some relief and the pins and needles went altogether, the pain in my left shoulder was greatly reduced, although I still felt some discomfort. It has now been 2 weeks and I have noticed that I am again starting to feel pins and needles both wrists, although not as painful as previously the shoulder is also still uncomfortable but not still not as painful as previously.
Neck pain referral
Hi Dr bland
I haven't heard anything yet from the neurology department with regards to an appointment. I can't chase it up as I don't know who I've been referred to. I'm really struggling and in a lot of pain.
